Caliraya Adventure

Our team set their feet off to Laguna for our much awaited team building. As planned we left Ortigas at around 7:00am and went to Cubao so we can take a bus that will bring us to Laguna. We were all under the impression that since the location was just at Laguna, the travel time won’t take that long. We all thought that it will only take us like 2 hours at max knowing that Laguna is just near. We are dead wrong!Upon riding the bus, we were all wondering when Chloe will shout the magic words “pull over” so we can get off the bus. Some of us went gaga over the idea of travelling this far. It’s almost 3 hours and yet we are still in the bus. After the long hours of waiting (that’s like three and a half hours), we finally arrived not to CaliRana but to Sta. Cruz Laguna. We need to find a jeepney that will bring us to the port where our boat is waiting (which took us like an hour and a half more).Upon arriving to CaliRana, all our eyes gleamed when we saw the place. It was sheer haven if I am to describe it. The landscaping of the place was extraordinary. The plants, flowers and trees made the place very calm and relaxing. The cottages and pool, the lodging, and everything else are very comforting. We stayed in a 3-floor cabin. The 2nd and 3rd floors are for the bedrooms while the first floor is where the kitchen and dinning room is. There is also a door in the dinning room that leads to the living room. By the way, the resort doesn’t have any restaurant inside so we need to bring our own food. Good thing we have some girls who knows how to cook. The living room is packed with furniture made from bamboo. It also has this karaoke which we somehow overused since most of us loves to sing.We also had our chance to get our muscles moving. We spent hours swimming in the pool, we played volleyball and basketball (they also have a court inside the resort), and what I loved the most is the kayaking. It was my first time to do kayaking and I must say I’m good with it. Some of us also played billiards (they also have a gaming room) while others are just satisfied lying in the soft bed in their rooms. The resort never failed to relax me from the moment we step in to their gate to the time we get off the resort. If I will be given a chance to go back there I will definitely do.
